Building God’s Church

Matthew 16:18 – “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

We are living in a tough time.  However, God has called us to a special work and we hold the destiny of God’s redemptive purpose for this decade.

God has always searched for a people who would seek him.  Thourough history, God has continually reached out for man, but people turned away from God.

There was a period in history where the prophets’ voices were silent.  This produced the Pharisees and Sadducees.

But God had an answer – He would let hell see what heaven looked like.  He rolled himself in flesh and came to Bethlehem’s manger.

The Jews crucified Jesus, but he rose again from the grave, to save the lost.

We are to be God’s witnesses.  Jesus gives us authority over all the power of the enemy. “In my name you shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.  These signs shall follow them that believe. ”

The early church impacted the world, and it was said at the end of the 1st century that they shook the Roman Empire to its foundation.  They turned the known world upside down.

Later, the Dark Ages saw a church in decline.  During this time, God stil had a church.  The beginning of the 20th Century saw a mighty pouring out of the Holy Ghost.

It is time for the church to shwo this world was heaven looks like.  We don’t have time to wait until tomorrow.  The time is now.  We need to leave our houses and spread God’s message of love, grace, and favor throughout this world, and help them learn God’s plan for their lives.
